Personal Data Processing Policy

In accordance with Articles 12 and 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (the “GDPR”), we inform you as the data subject about the processing of personal data that you provide to us through the contact form on this website.
1. Data Controller
The controller of your personal data is KUMO Transport s.r.o., Company ID: 19944705, VAT ID: CZ19944705, with its registered office at Kaprova 42/14, 110 00 Prague 1, Czech Republic (the “controller”).

2. Data Protection Officer
The controller has not appointed a data protection officer, as it is not subject to such an obligation under Article 37 of the GDPR. For all matters concerning the processing of your personal data or the exercise of your rights, you can contact us at info@kumotransport.cz.
3. Categories of Personal Data Processed
When the contact form is submitted, we process the following categories of personal data:
- identification data — first name and surname,
- contact data — e-mail address and telephone number,
- the content of the message you send us through the form.
We obtain the personal data directly from you as the data subject. We do not process any special categories of personal data (Article 9 of the GDPR) through the form.
4. Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing
We process the personal data solely for the purpose of handling your enquiry and communicating with you regarding the products and services you have expressed interest in. The legal basis for processing is:
- taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, and
- the controller’s legitimate interest in handling the business enquiry pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Providing the data is voluntary; however, without it we are unable to handle your enquiry. You are not subject to any decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR.
5. Recipients of Personal Data
The personal data is stored in the controller’s secure database used for handling enquiries. Recipients of the data may only be our service providers acting as processors within the meaning of Article 28 of the GDPR (in particular hosting and form-automation providers), who process the data exclusively in accordance with our instructions, and public authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal data or pass it on to third parties for marketing purposes.
If any of our processors were to process personal data outside the European Economic Area, this would only take place on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission or using appropriate safeguards under Article 46 of the GDPR (in particular standard contractual clauses).
6. Retention Period
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any related communication, but no longer than 2 years from your last interaction with us, unless generally binding legal regulations require a longer retention period. After the retention period expires, the data is erased.
7. Your Rights as a Data Subject
Under Articles 15 to 21 of the GDPR, you have the right to:
- request access to your personal data (Article 15),
- request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Article 16),
- request erasure of the data (the “right to be forgotten”, Article 17),
- request restriction of processing (Article 18),
- data portability (Article 20),
- object to processing carried out on the basis of the controller’s legitimate interest (Article 21).
You may exercise any of these rights at info@kumotransport.cz. We will respond to your request without undue delay and no later than one month from its receipt.
If you believe that your personal data is being processed unlawfully, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which in the Czech Republic is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úšad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.gov.cz.
